If you are between the ages of five and eighty-five, live in the United States, and participate in mainstream culture, then chances are you have too much to do. One of the chapters in Barbara Brown Taylor's most recent book, An Altar in the World, is titled The Practice of Saying No -- Sabbath.
Taylor writes that "sabbath is the great equalizer, the great reminder that we do not live on this earth but in it, and that everything we do under the warming tent of this planet's atmosphere affects all who are woven into this web with us." Join us at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip on Saturday morning, September 11, to hear more about Sabbath. We have much to learn and much to discuss and reflect on.
